Can I park my car next to my Manifold static caravan Peak District?

Yes, private parking for one vehicle is available at the side of each of our Longnor Wood hot tub caravans. We have only a small visitors car park therefore we respectfully request that there is only one car per static caravan booking. We cannot guarantee on-site parking for additional vehicles and there is only a narrow country lane with passing places and strictly no street parking leading to the site.

We reserve the right to refuse access after 9pm to avoid disturbing other holiday park guests. Departure time on your last day is 9.30am at the latest to allow us the necessary time to turn your hot tub caravan around for our next guests.

Guests who do not will be asked to leave immediately. We have 3 dog-friendly caravans with hot tubs. Longnor Wood Holiday Hideaway is dog friendly. We allow 2 well behaved dogs in our Peak District dog friendly caravans for an additional cleaning charge of £40 per dog per week (£25 per short break). Please ensure that you select one of our dog-friendly static caravans to rent Peak District when booking as not all of our Manifold caravans to hire are dog-friendly.

We respectfully request that dogs are not allowed to sit or jump onto the beds or soft furnishings and that dogs are never left unattended in the Manifold caravan for any length of time in case they become distressed or are a nuisance to other guests. Dogs must always be kept on a short lead when walking around our static caravan park Derbyshire. At the entrance to the site, we have a large dog walk and dog exercise area, as well as a wooded area perfect for letting dogs off the lead. Our wardens can recommend several other walks suitable for dog walking in the local area and are able to advise as to local dog friendly Peak District pubs and attractions.

Is there public transport to Longnor Wood luxury holiday park UK?

Longnor Wood is located in a peaceful rural location and there is no public transport. A car is strongly advised if you are staying with us for a static caravan holiday Derbyshire here at Longnor Wood.

The small village of Longnor is around a 2-mile walk across open countryside and would not be recommended after dark. The narrow roads are unlit and there are no pavements. There are very few amenities remaining in Longnor.

The nearest train station is Buxton, a 20-minute drive from Longnor Wood.  There are no buses.

Having your own transport is always an advantage when staying in a campsite near Chatsworth House if you want to make the most of the beautiful Peak District countryside and visit local attractions. We offer discounted tickets for Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall at our Longnor Wood Reception.

Where are your nearest supermarkets?

There will be a small welcome pack in your Manifold static caravan on arrival with tea, coffee, milk and sugar. We stock a small selection of basic essentials and local produce in our licensed shop, including milk, frozen goods, sundries, wine, beer and a selection of local ales and gin. Newspapers can be pre-ordered by 5pm the previous evening.

The nearest town, Buxton has an Aldi, a Morrison’s and an Iceland. There is also a range of supermarkets in Bakewell (Aldi, Londis and Co-Op) and Leek (Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys). Buxton, Bakewell and Leek are all around a 20-minute drive from Longnor Wood.

What is there to do whilst staying on your static caravan park in Derbyshire?

Our picturesque 5-star static caravan park for adults only is ideally placed to explore the Peak District National Park. As a tranquil park we offer our guests the opportunity to relax and unwind and many guests choose not to venture too far from their Manifold caravan with hot tub. We are located mid-way between the spa town of Buxton and Bakewell, with Matlock, Chatsworth House, Heights of Abraham, Buxton caverns and Haddon Hall all being within an easy30-minute drive.

The Peak District is perfect for walking and cycling. Longnor Wood is only a short drive from most of the famous Peak District trails, including the Tissington Trail, Manifold Trail and Monsal Trail. Beautiful Dovedale is easily accessible by car within 30 minutes.

Relaxing in our beautiful surroundings on our 5-star adults only static caravan site may also suit. We are perfect for a Peak District romantic weekend break. Longnor Wood is beautifully landscaped with lovely views and our low noise policy means you can be guaranteed peace and quiet to relax. Facilities on-site are kept deliberately low-key to maintain our peaceful environment. We have a Book Exchange in our Information Point if you fancy reading something different whilst relaxing in your Manifold hot tub static caravan.

What is the nearest pub serving food?

The small village of Longnor is around 1.5 miles away and is accessible by hiking across fields and open countryside. It would not be suitable in the dark. We do not recommend walking down the road into the village as there are no pavement, cars can travel fast and the road is unlit. Unfortunately there is no longer a pub in Longnor village.

There is an abundance of great Peak District pubs just a short drive from Longnor Wood. Our favourites for great food include The Pack Horse Inn 2.5 miles (01298 83618), The Royal Oak 4.5 miles (01298 83288), The Greyhound Inn 5 miles (01298 84782), The Bulls Head 6 miles (01629 812372), The Devonshire Arms 7 miles (01298 84884), The Charles Cotton Hotel 7 miles (01298 84229) and The Winking Man 4 miles (01538 300361).  Longnor Wood is therefore a great Peak District campsite near pubs.

Since the pandemic many of the pubs are operating with reduced opening hours, particularly mid-week, so we would always advise phoning ahead to check and booking if it is likely to be busy. Our wardens can also help you do this, just enquire at our Longnor Wood Reception.

Do you accept stag/hen Parties at your adults only UK holiday park?

Sorry, we do not accept stag or hen parties at our Longnor Wood Tranquil Park. As a low noise policy campsite Peak District, we have couples who book with us for some quality time. We do not accept group bookings. Maximum 4 adults on any booking.

Is there WIFI on site?

Whilst free WIFI is available on our campsite Peak District for all guests our rural location means that speeds are generally poor. Depending on your provider there is a good 4G signal, with EE being one of the best. We ask our guests to be patient and avoid downloading or streaming any large files whilst staying with us on a Manifold static caravan holiday. Our wardens can assist with any specific issues or requests, if you are trying to book somewhere to eat or want some local information.

Are you within walking distance to local shops?

The small village of Longnor has a fish and chip shop (check ahead for opening times) and small shop and is a 1.5-mile walk from Longnor Wood across open countryside. We would not recommend walking along the road which does not have any pavements. For additional amenities guests would need to drive to either Buxton, Leek or Bakewell, both around 20 minutes’ drive from our 5-star static caravan park Peak District. Longnor Wood has a small licensed shop on our campsite Peak District. We recommend that guests bring with them what they need for their stay
