Do you like reading and want to share your favourites with other camping guests when camping in the Peak District? If so, our Book Exchange here at Longnor Wood might be for you?

Is your house full of books that you have read and are not likely to re-visit but would like to donate them to a worthy cause? If so, have you considered a Book Exchange?

Do you want to share travel books for places you have visited locally especially famous Peak District attractions, Buxton or Bakewell that you know you probably won’t return to?

Do you always wish you had more time to read and are looking forward to using romantic breaks in the Peak District in your hot tub lodge Derbyshire to catch up on a good classic or romantic novel?

If so, then why not use your Peak District get-away to swap some of your books that you no longer need? Longnor Wood have a Book Exchange for guests located in the Information Hut immediately outside the Reception and Licensed shop.

Bring along your used books and swap them for another one. You can borrow from our Book Exchange to read whilst Peak District camping or take it away for future enjoyment. You don’t need to even have a book to exchange to borrow another. Small charitable donations are requested, with all money raised from our Book Exchange going to our chosen charity. If you finish a book on site, then please feel free to pop it into the Book Exchange or leave it in your glamping pod or holiday lodge with hot tub so future guests can enjoy.

So why not get out your comfortable camping chair, make a cup of tea, enjoy a real bean coffee from our vending machine outside Reception or pour yourself a glass of wine? Wrap up, sit back and enjoy a good read from our Book Exchange in the heart of the Peak District. If it’s a bit chilly why not hire a fire pit from Reception and listen to the sound of a crackling fire whilst you read. Our fire pits come with a net full of logs and can be booked in advance or simply added to your booking on arrival.
