Camping Pitches in the Peak District

Located mid-way between Buxton and Bakewell and accessible from the major cities of Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield in less than 90 minutes, Longnor Wood is the perfect spot for Peak District camping and is open all year (closed for essential maintenance during January).

We offer dog-friendly camping in the Peak District, with up to 2 well-behaved dogs being welcome free of charge on our touring and tent pitches. There is a hot water dog wash on site, as well as a dog walk and enclosed exercise field where dogs can be let safely off the lead. There are also plenty of dog walks in the adjacent Longnor Wood.

All our all-weather hard-standing touring pitches have 10amp electric and our amenity block is spotlessly clean, with plenty of close reach drinking water & waste disposal and recycling points. There is also a small, licensed shop and Information Point on site, as well as board games and DVDs to borrow. We stock a range of local produce, Peak District real ales and a selection of essentials. We hire fire pits (guests are not allowed to use their own) but do not allow open fires and there are no gazebos or generators allowed on site.
