There won’t be any organised fireworks or Bonfire Night displays at Longnor Wood, allowing the park to retain the calm atmosphere our guests come here to enjoy.

Set in a secluded, rural location, Longnor Wood is an adults-only campsite with a low-noise policy. Its position in the Peak District makes it a relaxing base for an autumn break, away from the crowds usually associated with Bonfire Night.

However, it’s important to be clear that we can’t control what happens beyond the park. There may still be fireworks in neighbouring villages or the surrounding area, so we can’t promise a completely firework-free stay.

A quieter bonfire weekend with your dog

Firework season can be a difficult time for dogs and their owners. If your dog is unsettled by loud bangs, staying somewhere without an organised display on site may help you get away from some of the activity closer to home.

Longnor Wood welcomes dogs across selected lodges, static caravans and glamping accommodation, as well as on its touring and camping pitches. Dogs can enjoy a scenic walking area, an enclosed exercise field and an on-site hot water dog wash, with plenty of countryside walks nearby too.

Of course, every dog is different, and the rural location doesn’t guarantee complete quiet from fireworks elsewhere. If your dog is particularly sensitive to noise, please bear this in mind before booking.
